    Prospect Dental

PROSPECT DENTAL has been taking care of patients in Chicago and suburbs since 1998. The clinic has moved to a modern facility in 2008, located in Arlington Heights.  In order to adhere to patients' wishes and their high standards, and to match the quality of the top U.S. general and cosmetic dentists, Prospect Dental was equipped with the newest digital diagnostic technology and operating equipment.

Some patients may feel stressed and apprehensive before dental appointment; this is why we also took special care so that our new office feels comfortable for each patient.

Prospect Dental offers Family and Cosmetic dental services as well as specialized treatment of gum disease (periodontics) and root canals (endodontics).

General dentistry is still our forté.  We provide your entire family with unsurpassed dental care, beginning with preventive care and routine fillings to root canals, crowns and dentures.  We continually strive to master the newest techniques in family dentistry while maintaining focus on old-fashion values such as a close doctor-patient relationship.

The patients most often choose our specialists for the folowing procedures:

» Root Canals - A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.

» Cleaning and preventive care - Good oral hygiene is important, not only for looks, but for general health as well. Poor oral hygiene can lead to a variety of dental and medical problems such as gum disease, infection, bone loss, heart disease, strokes and more. Regular check ups and cleanings can prevent these problems as well as provide you with good oral hygiene.

» Extractions - If a tooth has been damaged by decay or a fracture, we wil try to repair it and restore it with a filling, crown or other treatment. Sometimes, though, the damage is too extensive for the tooth to be repaired, and it has to be extracted. Many cosmetic options are then available to replace the missing tooth.

» Emergency care - Our office has very convenient hours of operation, but sometimes emergencies occur and you may need to contact our dental professionals outside hours of operations. This is possible through our after-hour emergency number and paging service.

» Kids always welcome - We love treating kids because early introduction to proper oral hygiene prevents dental problems in the future. We have a caring approach towards the little ones, we offer kids movies and have toys to keep them less stressed during dental procedures.

Cosmetic dentistry is an exciting field that is experiencing constant growth. New techniques and materials combined with an improved practice setting provide our patients with healthy smiles and improved self-confidence.

The following are selected procedures we specialize in:

» 1 hour tooth whitening - Take a first step in feeling good and looking great with brighter, whiter teeth in less than an hour. Zoom2 tooth whitening is safe, effective, takes only 45 minutes, and is used by celebrities and Hollywood stars.

» Implants - If you are missing one or more teeth and would like to smile, speak and eat again with comfort and confidence, there is good news! Dental implants are teeth that can look and feel just like your own, and are an ideal option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Dental implants are so natural-looking and feeling, you may forget you ever lost a tooth.

» Veneers - Dental veneers are custom-designed shells of tooth-like ceramic material that, when applied over the surface of a tooth, can cover worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing and chips or cracks. Because dental veneers are so thin, they might require little-to-no tooth reshaping when bonded onto the tooth. Once veneers are bonded into place, they are strong and durable.

» Bridges - One or more missing teeth can adversely affect the appearance and functionality of your smile. Dental bridges, like implants and partial dentures, are used to replace missing teeth. Bridges can reduce your risk of gum disease, help correct some bite issues and even improve your speech.

» Tooth color fillings - Tooth colored fillings, also called white fillings, are dental fillings that restore and mimic the natural appearance of tooth structure. In addition to restoring teeth that have fractured or decayed, tooth colored fillings may also be used cosmetically to change the size, color and shape of teeth. This is particularly useful in closing gaps between teeth, repairing chipped teeth and making teeth appear to be more straight or even.

» Aesthetic dentures - If you've lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace your missing teeth and your smile. Replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. Advances in dentistry have made many improvements in dentures. They are more natural looking and comfortable than they ever used to be.
