Embrace Dentistry
Dr. Erika Oguanobi was born in Baton Rouge, LA. I graduated from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. After completing my undergraduate education, I went on to attend dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
After completing dental school, I served on active duty as an US Naval Officer. I was stationed at the Naval Dental Center Mid-Atlantic in Norfolk, VA where I completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. After completing my residency, I was stationed at Camp Lejeune Marine Corp Base with the 2nd Dental Battalion for two years. My time spent with the United States Navy was a rewarding experience that gave me the opportunity to meet numerous outstanding individuals, serve the country alongside remarkable men and women, and to further develop my career as a dentist.
Upon completing my commitment to the US Navy, I returned to the Dallas Metroplex in 2006. I began working as an associate with the Bright Now Dental corporation for one year. I later decided to further my career as an independent provider and open my own dental practice in Wylie, Texas, a place I now call home, I am a member the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society.
While away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three beautiful children. I also enjoy reading, traveling and being among family and friends. My family and I are members of Christ Community in Richardson, TX.
