Center for Cosmetic & Biocompatible Dentistry - Steven F. Puffer, DMD
The Center for Cosmetic & Biocompatible Dentistry is based on one simple principle-everyone deserves to smile, and feel good about it. From general dentistry to our focus on the latest in health centered, cosmetic, and restorative techniques, our goal is simple — to make you smile. That's why we've created a soothing spa-like atmosphere. That's why we insist on using state of the art technology — to provide the best, most comfortable experience for every patient. And, that's also why we give each patient the personal attention they deserve. Not all smiles are the same, and they shouldn't be treated the same.
The Center for Cosmetic & Biocompatible Dentistry was founded on the notion that smiling is the most powerful human expression. Yet, so often those smiles are buried by embarrassment, self-consciousness, or fear. One single healthy smile can transform an aura of a room or a community. A smile can ease tension, build self-esteem, express feelings for those around you, and improve your health. Let us help you find your smile!
Dr. Steven Puffer, D.M.D. graduated from BYU-Idaho and then earned his dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He has always had a love and appreciation for dentistry, as his father was a dentist. Before dental school, Dr. Puffer worked as a dental assistant and enjoys the relationships established in all areas of dentistry. Before coming to Idaho he was a partner in a practice near Portland, Oregon. Dr. Puffer has a great attention to detail, artistic ability, passion for dentistry, and concern for the whole well-being of his patients.
Since graduating, Dr. Puffer has continued his education to stay on the leading edge of dentistry and provide the best care for his patients. He is a member of Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and has received extensive training in Sedation Dentistry. He is certified in the use of Invisalign clear braces and is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and Idaho State Dental Association (ISDA).
As a holistic dentist, Dr. Puffer is a partner in his patient's overall health and wellness plan. The Center for Cosmetic & Biocompatible Dentistry is a trained and certified Center for Dental Medicine office. Dr. Puffer is a member of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine (IABDM), International Association of Mercury Safe Dentists (IAMSD), the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT), and practices mercury free/safe dentistry. Dr. Puffer has extensively studied the effects of dental materials and biocompatibility as a member of the Multi-Discipline Alliance and is certified in the use of Oxygen/Ozone Therapy in Dental Medicine.
Dr. Puffer also enjoys being a member of the Crown Council, an international roundtable of Dentists who have joined to share ideas, talents, and improve the health, wellness, and quality of dental care worldwide-to promote oral health, fight oral cancer, and serve their communities through charitable work.
Outside the office, he and his wife, Liz, enjoy hiking, rock climbing, snow-boarding, movies, and spending time with their three daughters and one son.
